Below: Pre-MBFW, Carla Zampatti’s Black, white and everything in-between showcase at carriage laneways – Thanks for seating moi front row!
It’s Australian fashion at its best when it comes to the spectacle of Mercesdes-Benz Fashion Festival – designers, media elites, celebs, models and the papps including street style photographers all coming together to simply out do each other and to be seen at one of the industry’s IT events of the year – A fun and vibrant one at that. But not only is it about the peeps, its about the fashion daahhhlingg! From the latest arrangement of sporty luxe looks to statement cut-out gowns; fashion for Spring Summer 2013/14 is going to be one stella season ahead!
Some of the great perks I had during fashion week included access backstage allowing me to capture some quick snaps of the key looks before the models graced the runway. First up was CAMILLA AND MARC’S 10 year anniversary show filled with gorgeous white ensembles alongside an array of lust-worthy prints. And not to mention amazing gold brocade looks. I think I mentally said “I want that” to almost everything I saw. My favorite moment at this show was actually secretly seeing Camilla-Freedman Topper shed a few tears after the finale of the showcase – absolutely a gorgeous woman with such a great achievement to be proud of.
One of my favourite shows of the week was presented by Lisa Ho – clean, classic silhouettes with use of bold colours abundantly. Ho sure knows how to create a killer dress and use of red (one of my all time fav colours) got me thinking about how this designer is on FIRE! Nailed it completely especially with her maxi dresses which I can so imagine wearing to all the weddings I have coming up!
Then there was street style spotting – my day 1 outfit was by far the spotters favourites I guess, or perhaps by day 3 they all got sick of camping out side the venue for their next visual victim to appear!? LOL a complete compliment, don’t get me wrong. But believe me, this year felt like every girl who walked into the compounds of carriageworks had invisible bread dangling from their hair and the pigeon photographers swooshed in for their money shot snap! Quite a funny scene when you stand back to watch it all…
Till next time fashion lovers xxxx p.s see more of my coverage from MBFW on my work blog here.

I think I’ve JUST recovered from the bombardment of another Fashion Launch filled with endless new season looks, room full of perfect models, rehearsal after rehearsal and constant attachment to the work mobile…(practically glued to it). Only now do I thoroughly get to enjoy it after all the cray cray settles down! For more on the AW Fashion Launch make sure you check out my coverage on the DJs blog. Here are some of my favourite snaps from the night xx

Pressing rewind to almost a year ago so you can see what’s been keeping me away from here… I fell off the face of earth or should I say the blogasphere due to a few biggies:
I got hitched! It’s strange to think that one day out of your entire life can actually put things on standby but ask any bride and she’ll tell you that there’s so much to do! It felt as though the to-do list was never ending and my expectations on every tiny little detail got blown out of proportion – But it was all worth it. I smiled so much on my wedding day that my jaw ached.
It wouldn’t have been possible without my darling husband, bridal party and of course my dream team. I highly recommend you check these talented people out, click on these links to more coverage from my wedding too: True Love Couture, MyFotoBox Photography, Paper Cranes Productions xx
Honeymoon slash holiday!
I finally got to tick London, Rome and Paris off the bucket list last June. Just like I imagined, it was picture perfect and totally instagramable on every street I explored. From gorgeous views, magical buildings and amazing shopping on offer I honestly had withdrawal symptoms when I returned home. Check out the damage if you haven’t already via my #instagram @annawanna_
I have a mortgage!
It’s tragic but true… A mortgage holds you back from that habitual purchase from ZARA on your lunch break and that monthly splurge on net-a-porter. But life isn’t being held back that bad…the dreams of that fab walk-in, shoe wall and more are kinda coming true Undoubtedly, my weekends have been spent figuring out what to fill 5 rooms with and fortunately cleaning under the roof over our heads.
Chained to the office!
It’s almost two years now at DJs. I’ve punched out hundreds of blog posts and thousands of tweets…And there’s lots more coming. The busy bee me has been managing the Black & White blog and covering all the latest events. Now if that isn’t enough good reasons as to why I’ve been MIA I don’t know what is…. xoox
